A few of my favorite pics from Hawaii...
My Pride of Hawaii Review: I am a virgin cruiser so I don't have any other cruise to compare it to so my review may not be the best thing to go by: ROOM: Definitely would recommend getting a balcony and even on the port side. Hawaii is just amazing and you could see it even from your balcony. The cruise went by the volcano at night so you could see the lava flowing right from your room. And then there is the Napali Coastline in Kauai. FOOD: This is a freestyle cruise so you are able to choose from a variety of restaurants. I definitely recommend paying the extra money for at least Cagney's Steakhouse and Le Bistro. The neat thing about the restaurants is that they do not charge a corking fee for your bottle of wine. You just let them know which restaurant you are going to have dinner next and the wine will already be there for you. EXCURSIONS: Loved it!: Ziplining in Kauai, Lava rock hike in Maui (although it was exhausting!), Road to Hana (where I took most of my favorite pics but also where I got extreme motion sickness...) Want my money back!: Luau in Maui (totally not worth the money!) CRUISE SHIP: Pretty clean, service was good, didn't really like the salt water pool but loved the slide into the water (J didn't like it because he had to push himself down most of the way. I, on the otherhand, went flying down. kekeke!) The game room had our favorite game of scrabble and even mahjong (of course four white haired Chinese ladies were playing almost every time we passed it). Spa service SUCKED! The people there were pretty rude and the massage I got wasn't that great. I like deep tissue so if I'm not hurting during the massage, it's not really a massage. Oh, and they also had private karaoke rooms that you could book too. Not sure about the song selection because we didn't get to go. So, that's the end of my review for the Pride of Hawaii. If you go, bring me with you! |
